History
Hershey's
Steak & Seafood opened for business on January 6, 1989.
The restaurant was originally built in 1985, and was operated
as a Steak & Ale restaurant, owned by the Pilsbury Corporation.
With the assistance of two fine partners, Monte Story and
Martin Sherman, Scott Hershey purchased the property from
the dough boy, in late 1988.
With
the purchase of this property, Hershey was looking to replace
some of the fine dining excellence that the community lost
over the years. Adding the flavor of a local independent restaurant
owner, with great food and service, the dream was to stand
up with the history of fine dining restaurant independents.
Restaurants like Jim's Tiffany, Scofes, Brauer's, Tarpoff's,
Dines, Schulers, Warren Poplars, and Lou Coomes. What a history
of great restaurants!
Hershey's
has established itself for its superior food quality, and
friendly personal service. Known for U.S.D.A choice prime
rib, fresh seafood, custom aged and hand cut choice steaks.
Hershey's buys only the best, because you deserve to have
the best! Now serving generous portions of great food and
service!
Currently,
Hershey's enjoys having two "active" owners on site.
Scott Hershey and David Finkbeiner became business partners
in 2001. Dave has been with Hershey's since 1988, and has
held several management positions over the years. He is currently
the general manager of the property and vice president of
operations.
Along
with on site owners, Hershey's enjoys the history of a great
management team.
With over
forty five years of combined management employment at Hershey's,
we are proud to have Chris Briegel as our kitchen manager,
and Shirley Graham our office manager as members of our team.
It is through their efforts, that we are able to offer our
guests a consistent dining experience.
